Savory Tri-Tip On The Big Green Egg
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 Tri-Tip
- Fresh Pepper
- Sea Salt
- Olive Oil
- Favorite Rub
Instructions
- Get ready to fire up your BGE grill to reach a sizzling 350 degrees with indirect heat using the trusty place setter.
- While the grill is heating up, why not give your Tri Tip some love? Massage it with fragrant olive oil and generously season it with salt and pepper. It's the perfect prep for a mouthwatering feast!
- Cook the Tri Tip roast on the Big Green Egg using indirect heat for approximately 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 120 degrees.
- Get ready to elevate the heat to a sizzling 500-600 degrees for a mouthwatering sear. Cook the Tri Tip on each side for just 2 minutes, or until the inside temperature hits 130 for a delectably medium rare.
- Keep in mind that the thinner portion of the trip tip will cook faster than the thicker sections, and remember that this roast is best enjoyed medium rare, not well done. To ensure steak perfection.
- PS… I cooked ours medium well, as my Mr. Squeeze is easy to please! Cook to your liking.
- Take a break for just 10 minutes, cover it with foil, then slice and indulge in the blissful goodness of Tri Tip!
